Chrome Diopside

Gem quality Chrome Diopside was discovered in eastern Siberia in 1988.  It's rich green color makes it a less expensive alternative to Emerald, Chrome Tourmaline, and Tsavorite.  Between 5-6 hardness on the mohs scale, care should be taken with rings.
